And the move couldn’t come at a better time considering El Clasico is just around the corner, with Real and Barcelona braced to collide for the first time this term as Spain’s two titans get reacquainted. But first, Carlo Ancelotti’s men must make full use of their visit to Vigo and move level with the Blaugrana, coming into Week 10 currently trailing their nemeses by just three points.

Real has the form to suggest it’s capable of seizing the opportunity, too, having won the last eight consecutive meetings between these two outfits. 

Celta hasn’t managed so much as a draw against Los Blancos since holding them to a 2-2 result at the Bernabeu in 2020, while Real ran out a 4-0 victor the last time they clashed this past March.
