Scottish Premiership champion Celtic wraps up its campaign at home to St. Mirren on Saturday. Watch the game live and for free on Fubo.

Celtic will hope to use Saturday’s Scottish Premiership clash at home to St. Mirren as the ideal last bit of prep for its upcoming Scottish Cup final encounter against Aberdeen. Brendan Rodgers’ recently crowned champions sit 17 points clear of nearest rival Rangers and faces sixth-place St. Mirren in what will be their swan song for the 2024-25 campaign. The Buddies have everything left to fight for and could still qualify for Europe with even a point at Celtic Park – provided fifth-place Dundee United drops points at home to Aberdeen – but will need a favor from their host to do so.

Just one point separates St. Mirren from Dundee United directly above, but the Bhoys are not likely to be accommodating hosts, even if Rodgers decides to rest some key members ahead of their cup final.

South Korea international Yang Hyun-jun enjoyed arguably his best performance in a Celtic shirt when the team last faced St. Mirren, coming up with a brace and one assist in that March meeting:

And he was back on the score sheet in Wednesday’s romp on the road to Aberdeen, yet against where the Hoops managed to hit the back of the net five times in total.

As fate would have it, four of the five games in which Yang has scored this season have come in fixtures where Celtic has scored exactly five goals, which may not be a positive omen for St. Mirren.

It also doesn’t bode well for the lowest-placed team of the top six that it has lost eight meetings with the Glaswegians, and it’s almost exactly two years since it last managed to take so much as a point from this rivalry.

Stephen Robinson’s men have a beaming chance to end that rut, however, after going undefeated in five games and facing a Celtic side that’s surely somewhat relaxed after winning the title.
