Minnesota is coming off an impressive 5-1 win against the Ottawa Charge on Tuesday night. Kendall Coyne Schofield as the star of the night by scoring a hat trick. She put the finishing touches on the dominating victory with a empty-net goal late in the game for her third goal of the night. Dominique Petrie and Grace Zumwinkle also scored for Minnesota. But the Frosts’ victory wouldn’t have been nearly as dominant without goalie Nicole Hensley, who stopped 35 shots. It was a rematch of last season’s Walter Cup championship.

Boston is coming off a 2-0 shutout against the Vancouver Goldeneyes Wednesday. The Fleet outshot the Goldeneyes 31 to 21. Boston outshot Vancouver 19-2 in the first period alone. Abby Newhook scored the first goal of the game, just five minutes after the first puck drop. It took awhile longer to score another goal, but Jill Saulnier gave the Fleet some breathing room with the second goal of the night 6:40 in the third. Expect a close matchup, in what should be one of the best matchups in the young PWHL season.
