Top-ranked senior AJ Dybantsa leads Utah Prep against powerful Montverde Academy at the Hoophall Classic on Sunday.
Utah Prep (16-4) has won its last eight games and faces off with Montverde (Florida) Academy (12-2) at the 23rd annual Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Massachusetts, on Sunday night. The Eagles have won four straight, including a victory on Friday, the second day of the event at Springfield College. The Athletes feature top-ranked senior AJ Dybantsa, a 6-foot-9, 200-pound wing, who committed to BYU last month. They also have two other players on the ESPN 100 for the Class of 2025, while Montverde Academy has four players on the same list.

Junior Kayden Allen scored 16 points, as the Eagles cruised past Virginia’s Oak Hill Academy 78-52 on Friday. Seniors Hudson Greer and CJ Ingram added 14 points each. Ingram, a 6-foot-6 wing committed to Florida, is No. 32 on the ESPN 100. Greer, another 6-foot-6 wing who is No. 33 on the list, already signed with Creighton. Shooting guard Dante Allen, who signed with Villanova, checks in at No. 51, while Indiana signee Trent Sisley, a 6-foot-7 power forward, is No. 71 on the list. Allen, a 6-foot-5 wing, is No. 15 on the ESPN 60 for the Class of 2026.
Dybantsa finished with 41 points and 11 rebounds to lead Utah Prep to a 92-71 win over Western Reserve Academy (Ohio) at the Iverson Classic in Newark, New Jersey on Jan. 11. The Athletes also have BYU signee Xavion Staton, a 6-foot-10 center who is ranked No. 34, and 6-foot-1 point guard J.J. Mandaquit, who signed with Washington.
Montverde Academy will also be in action on Monday when it takes on Arizona Compass Prep.
