The finals of the GSOC Tahoe Grand Slam of Curling is here after an action-packed week in one of the biggest events this sport has to offer. There is a big change this year as there is no National tournament for the 2025-26 season. Instead, this is named the GSOC Tahoe Final. Originally, the National event started in 2002 for the men’s tournament, and the women’s event was added in 2015. The National even last year saw Bruce Mouat of Scotland when in the men’s event, while Rachel Homan of Ontario, Canada won in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. This game is starting to grow, as this is the first major GSOC event held outside of Canada. This Grand Slam of Curling final will be held in Stateline, NV which is on the southeastern side of Lake Tahoe. The big headlines coming into this final is a showdown in the men’s event between Team Matt Dunstone of Canada and Team Mouat of Scotland. For the women’s side, it will be a showdown of Team Homan of Canada and Team Silvana Tirinzoni from Switzerland.

On the women’s side, this is the fourth time in a row that Teams Homan and Tirinzoni will meet in the Grand Slam women’s final. Homan got here by beating Team Anna Hasselborg from Sweden in the semifinal by a 6-3 final. Tirinzoni took care of business by beating Team Xenia Schwaller who are both from Switzerland by a 6-4 final. On the men’s side, Dunstone representing Winnipeg, Canada took over the headlines by beating Team John Epping from Sudbury, Ontario by a 7-3 final. Dunstone reigned supreme in the all-Canadian semi to stay undefeated. They’ll have the momentum coming into this last day from Lake Tahoe.
