NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points leader Christian Eckes hits the tri-oval Kansas Speedway Saturday for race-day qualifying at the Heart of America 200
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series returns from a two-week break on Saturday, with qualifying for the Heart of America 200 at Kansas Speedway set for the afternoon ahead of the race under the lights. With Kyle Busch winning the last Truck Series race at Texas on April 12, the tally of regular drivers on the circuit with provisional playoff berths remains at four. Points leader Christian Eckes, with two wins, owns one of those, along with race winners Nick Sanchez, Rajah Caruth and Corey Heim. Kansas Speedway, a 1.5-mile asphalt tri-oval, first hosted the truck series in 2001, with Busch and Matt Crafton sharing the record of three victories there.

Grant Enfinger took the checkered flag last year at Kansas in a dominating performance, leading 65 laps and finishing 4.358 seconds ahead of Heim. Enfinger reclaimed the lead on Lap 103 and never relinquished it. Pole-sitter Eckes crashed out of the race with three other drivers on lap 79.
Eckes holds a two-point lead over Heim entering Kansas, with Ty Majeski 12 points behind. Sanchez trails by 27 points, followed by Taylor Gray (38 points), Tyler Ankrum (43 points), Caruth (54 points) and Crafton (92 points). Defending series champion Ben Rhodes sits in 12th with just one top-10 finish thus far.
Enfinger can join Busch and Crafton as the only multiple-time truck winners at the track with a second straight victory.
