Game 3 of the best-of-seven conference finals series between the Hershey Bears and Cleveland Monsters finds the Bears up 2-0 so far in the series. The first two games, both played at the Giant Center in Hershey, went to overtime, with the Bears winning 5-4 in Game 1 and 3-2 in Game 2. Now, the series shifts to Cleveland for three straight contests. Can the Monsters stave off elimination by winning two of the three home games to send the series back to Hershey for a Game 6?

Hershey had a bye into the division semifinals, beating Lehigh Valley 3-1 then sweeping Hartford in the division finals. Cleveland also had a bye into the division semifinals, where it defeated Belleville 3-1 and then swept Syracuse 3-0 in the division final.

Hershey had 53 wins, 14 losses and five shootout losses in the regular season while Cleveland had 40 wins, 24 losses, five overtime losses and three shootout losses.

The Bears are looking to win their 13th Calder Cup, having last won last season. The Monsters have one Calder Cup to their name as they won the title back in 2016.
