Argentina comes into the quarterfinals undefeated during the tournament. It went a perfect 3-0 to win Group C and then shutout Croatia 2-0 in the round of 16. In its first match of the group it whipped Ukraine 7-1 and then slipped by Afghanistan 2-1. It finished off group play with a 9-5 slugfest win over Angola. In the round of 16, the Argentinians used great defense and goals by Alan Brandi and Matias Rosa to get past Croatia and make the quarterfinals. Monday they will look to stay hot and earn a berth into the semifinals.

Kazakhstan, though, is looking to pick up the upset and send Argentina home with its first loss even though it is considered the underdog.

Kazakhstan finished in second place in Group D thanks to wins over Libya and New Zealand. It played to a 1-1 draw with Spain, but lost out on first place thanks to goal differential.

Kazakhstan continued its roll in the round of 16 after it beat Portugal 2-1 thanks to Dauren Tursagulov scoring with just seconds remaining. It was a dramatic finish for Kazakhstan and it will look to use that momentum to pick up a huge win over Argentina on Monday in the quarterfinals.
