Tiger Woods makes his TGL debut leading Jupiter Links GC against Morikawa and Theegala

After spending opening night of the TGL in the broadcast booth watching his creation come to life, Tiger Woods takes to the tee inside the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, FL on Tuesday night as his Jupiter Links GC faces off against the Los Angeles Golf Club led by two-time major winner Collin Morikawa. The tech infused team format will see Woods, alongside Jupiter Links teammates Max Homa and Kevin Kisner, swing for the first time in a competitive environment since missing the cut at The Open Championship in July. Due to lingering injuries Woods played in only five events in 2024.

Los Angeles Golf Club features one of the rising stars in golf as Sahith Theegala joins Morikawa and Ryder Cup veteran Justin Rose on a squad that is expected to be in the mix for the championship. The 27-year-old Theegala has posted a pair of top-40 finishes already in 2025 including a final round 67 in the Sony Open in Hawaii over the weekend after nine top-10 finishes in 2024.

Each match is divided into two match-play style segments between the teams. Over the first nine holes, the teams will see all three players hit in an alternate shot format and the final six holes will see each player go head-to-head in two holes against the opposing team.

Each TGL teams will play a total of five matches throughout the season, one against every other team, in a points-based standings system where the winning team in each matchup receives two points for a win, one point for an overtime loss, with the top four teams making the playoffs in a single elimination tournament with the finals being determined in a best-of-three format.
