Harrison Scott and No. 7 Maine will take the ice against Scout Truman and No. 10 UMass-Lowell on Saturday night.

The No. 7 ranked college hockey team in the country, Maine, will travel to Massachusetts for a showdown with UMass-Lowell, the No. 10 ranked team in the nation, on Saturday night on the second leg of back-to-back nights. The Maine Black Bears are 13-4-2 overall this season and 5-2-2 against teams in the conference. They are 9-1-1 at home, but just 4-2-1 on the road. Most recently, they took on Denver, the No. 6 ranked team in the country, in a double header with both games at home in Orono, Maine, and split the two games.

They lost the first game at the Harold Alfond Sports Arena 1-2 with Frank Djurasevic scoring the team’s only goal on a power play. They turned around and won the second of the two-game series by the same score, 2-1. After going down 1-0 in the first period, Harrison Scott scored the game-tying goal with seconds remaining in the period. After a scoreless second period, David Breazeale scored the game-winning goal in the last.

The UMass-Lowell Ice Hawks are 12-4-2 overall this season and 5-3-1 in the conference. They are 4-3-1 at home and 5-1-0 on the road. This two-game series comes after they played in the Coachella Valley Cactus Cup last week. They went to Palm Springs, California, and took on Michigan Tech in the team’s first-round matchup at Acriscure Arena.

They won that first game 3-2, with Matt Crasa scoring the first goal, followed by Pierson Brandon in the first, going up 2-1. After Michigan Tech knotted it even, Lee Parks scored the game-winning goal. In the championship game against Omahoma, they won again 3-2 the next day. After two scoreless periods, the third period saw five goals, including three straight to open from UMass-Lowell. Scout Truman (twice) and Jack Robilotti scored the goals in the game.
