NWPC play continues on Sunday with an east coast matchup between MIT and Harvard.

On Sunday evening, No. 10 Harvard will welcome MIT to Cambridge for a Northeast Water Polo Conference matchup. The Engineers have struggled this season and bring an overall record of 3-10 and a conference record of 0-4 into Sunday’s game. The team is now on a five game losing streak with the most recent being a 13-8 loss to No. 18 Brown on Saturday. The Bears raced out to a five-goal lead after the first quarter, but Adam Ivatorov scored back-to-back goals to make it a 5-2 game before Thomas Ewald added one more to bring the deficit to two. Rick Lundh scored twice for the Engineers and Avi Narula scored once in the second half before the final goal was scored by Kieran Kearns in the third to make it a 9-7 game in Brown’s favor. Four more goals in the fourth from the Bears sealed the deal and they added three points to their tally while the Engineers swam away empty-handed.
