The Next Collegiate League will conclude on Saturday as the men’s and women’s championships take place. The league was just started last year after news of the six-man discipline was confirmed to take place at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The league is focusing on perfecting the six-man style of play which is more prominent globally and will look to produce a stronger performance from the United States in addition to producing Olympians over the next 10-20 in the hopes of the sixes style making a permanent appearance in the Olympics following 2028. This particular American league uses college players who have prior experience, but may not have been recruited for the traditional 11-man style.
