Despite three losses in their last four games, the Philadelphia Flyers head into the weekend just five points behind Ottawa for the final Wild Card spot in the National Hockey League’s Eastern Conference as they welcome the Seattle Kraken into Wells Fargo Arena for a rare Saturday matinee matchup. The Kraken have dropped four of their last five games including a 5-3 loss at Nashville on Thursday to open their road trip and have now lost three games in a row on away ice. This is the final game of the series between these teams this season as Seattle won the first meeting 6-4 behind a goal and two assists from Jared McCann in the mid-October matchup.

In his fourth season with the Kraken, McCann leads the team with 45 points with three points coming in his last six games. The 28-year-old winger was an expansion draft selection by Seattle in 2021 and has tallied 50 or more points in each of his first three seasons with the club as he heads into the weekend five points shy of another. A first-round selection by Vancouver in 2014, McCann was traded to Florida after one season then traded to Pittsburgh two years later before finding a home with the Kraken.

Flyers winger Travis Konecny has a team high 63 points this season despite being held without a point in his last three games. Konecny has spent his entire nine-year career with the Flyers and is on pace to break his career high of 68 points set last season.

Seattle leads the all-time series 4-3 with the home team winning four straight games in this series.
