Slovenia looks to remain undefeated against the United States in the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League.
The United States (1-1) started off the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League with a loss, but bounced back with a win in its second match. They are looking to get back into the final round of play for the fifth time in the seven years of the tournament. Currently the United States is on the outside looking into the final round standings with just two points. They have two more matches starting with undefeated Slovenia (1-0) here. Slovenia started off the tournament with a huge win over Cuba to earn three points. They are in seventh place in the standings and holding onto the final slot in the final round.

In their win Slovenia traded two competitive sets to start against Cuba before taking control. After winning the first set 25-22 Slovenia lost the second set 25-21. From there Slovenia took off outscoring Cuba 50-33 in the final two sets to close out an impressive tournament opening win.
Slovenia is looking to get back to the final round for the third time in the country’s history in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League. Last year they finished in fourth place to match the best finish for Slovenia from back in 2021.
After this match, Slovenia closes out the tournament against Brazil in Pool 2. All matches in week one for Pool 2 take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as one of the nine host countries that look to make it to the final round in Ningbo, China.
