Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt has already clinched the men’s World Cup Super-G title, with Italy’s Federica Brignone looking to clinch.

Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt added the International Ski Federation downhill championship to his collection on Saturday after wind cancelled the event at Sun Valley, Idaho. On Sunday, Odermatt β€” who already clinched his fourth consecutive overall title to go with the Super-G and giant slalom championships β€” finishes out the Super-G season looking for another win. Italy’s Federica Brignone clinched her second career overall title and enters Sunday with a five-point lead over Lara Gut-Behrami of Switzerland for the Super-G crown, which Brignone won in 2022 before Gut-Behrami captured her fifth and sixth career titles in the discipline the last two years.

Odermatt has 45 World Cup race podiums and won the Olympic gold medal in giant slalom at the 2022 Beijing Games while claiming the last four overall World Cup titles. The race for the second and third spots in Super-G are tight, with Austria’s Vincent Kriechmayr coming in with 281 points, 10 ahead of Switzerland’s Stefan Rogentin. Italy’s tandem of Dominik Paris and Mattia Casse are at 262 and 260, respectively.

Brignone, also the Crystal Globe winner in the downhill this season, will finish in the top three regardless, as will Gut-Behrami and Italy’s Sofia Goggia, who is third with 466 points, well clear of fourth-place Kajsa Vickhoff Lie of Norway. Brignone has three Super-G wins this season, topping the podium at Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, on Jan. 19, again at Kvitfjell, Norway, on March 2 and on March 14 at La Thulie, Italy.

Switzerland clinched the overall and men’s Nations Cup competitions, with the women trailing Italy 3,984-3,772 and facing an uphill climb for a clean sweep.
