Boise State hosts UNLV on Friday night in the Mountain West Football Championship game. The winner will likely have a first round bye in the College Football Playoff.

The Boise State Broncos go for their 11th straight win on Friday night when they take on the UNLV Rebels in the Mountain West Championship game in college football. The two teams met earlier this year with the Broncos coming away with a 29-24 win. The Rebels led the Broncos 24-23 at the end of the third quarter, but Ashton Jeanty scored early in the fourth and the Rebels couldn’t score again. Jeanty finished the game with 128 yards, which was his second-lowest rushing total of the season.

Jeanty finished the regular season with 2,288 yards and 28 touchdowns and is one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy. Jeanty has been fantastic all season long and it has helped the Broncos to an 11-1 record with their only loss coming to undefeated and top-ranked Oregon. The Broncos are now in a position to get a first round bye in the College Football Playoff with a win over the Rebels.

The Rebels, though, are looking to shock the Broncos and knock them out of the CFP and claim a spot themselves.

The Rebels comes into Friday 10-2 on the season, with their only loss in conference play was against the Broncos. Their other loss came in overtime against Syracuse and they have won six of their last seven games.

The Rebels earned a spot in the conference title game on Saturday when they whipped Nevada 38-14 for their fourth straight win.

Hajj-Malik Williams continues to play well for the Rebels, as he has thrown for 1,735 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also has 833 yards on the ground and nine touchdowns.
