Currently sat seventh in the table, Alguacil has somehow managed to stem the flow in the league while also keeping his side in contention in both the Europa League and Copa del Rey.

Former West Brom boss Corberan was brought to the Mestalla in December with one mission: to stop the club’s current trajectory to be relegated from La Liga.

And while Valencia still sits bottom of the table, the trajectory has improved somewhat following back-to-back wins in the Copa del Rey, as well as an unlucky draw at Sevilla.

A win here won’t be enough to lift Valencia out of the relegation zone, though it would serve as the latest step in Corberan’s remodel as he looks to take Los Che to safety.
