A Texas battle will take place Tuesday night as Texas A&M hosts Houston in men’s baseball action.
Houston will travel on Tuesday night for a non-conference game against No. 1 Texas A&M in college baseball. The Cougars come into the mid-week matchup with an overall record of 20-20 and a conference record of 6-15 for a spot in last place in the Big 12 standings. Most recently, the team traveled to Ohio to take on Cincinnati, picking up an 8-5 win in the series finale to avoid a sweep. Richie Roman improved to 2-0 on the mound, pitching 0.1 innings and walking one batter. Jonathan French led at the plate, going 3-for-3 with four RBIs in the win.

The Aggies are currently in second place in the SEC West standings with an overall record of 35-5 and a conference record of 13-5. On Saturday, the team dropped a close 10-9 game to No. 12 Alabama in the series finale, breaking a seven-game win streak. Gavin Grahovac led the team offensively with four RBIs from a single in the third and a three-run double in the fourth. Jace LaViolette finished right behind him with three RBIs from a fly out and a two-run shot in the sixth. On the mound, Kaiden Wilson was credited with the loss after giving up two earned runs in the seventh inning, which cost the team the game.
In the 2023 meeting between Texas A&M and Houston, the Aggies won the game 5-1. Houston won the 2022 meeting in College Station by a score of 8-2.
