On Day 3, it will begin with Americans No. 14 Madison Keys and No. 20 Francis Tiafoe each getting a match on Arthur Ashe. Later in the evening fans can check out reigning champions No. 3 Coco Gauff and No. 2 Novak Djokovic.
Marketa Vondrousova, the 2023 Wimbledon champion, and Cam Norrie pulled out of the US Open because of injuries.The 18th-ranked Vondrousova has been sidelined by a hurt hand, and the 47th-ranked Norrie has a forearm problem.
The tournament in New York runs from Aug. 26 to Sept. 8, with Djokovic and Gauff set to be back to defend their titles.
