They opened the season on Thursday and beat No. 6 Tennessee 7-1 in impressive fashion and then had little trouble beating Southern Miss and Bethune-Cookman on Friday. They outscored the two teams by a combined 21-3 score. They have looked great in their first three games, but they are going to get tested in their final two games of the NFCA Leadoff Classic. They get the No. 13 Red Raiders on Saturday and then will battle No. 24 Mississippi State on Sunday. Samantha Bland has been great hitting in their first three games as she has a .667 batting average. Ava Kuszak has brought the power as she is has hit two home runs and has six RBI.
