The Cubs made it back to the playoffs last season after sitting out in 2019 but it wasn't the outcome anyone expected under first-year manager David Ross. Even the Miami Marlins (who lost 105 games in 2019) had to be surprised that they won their Wild Card Series against Chicago. Subsequently, president Theo Epstein stepped down and handed over the reigns to Jed Hoyer.

Is this truly a new era for Chicago? While the core of the infield who won it all in 2016 is still there, Javy Baez, Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant, the rotation has changed a lot. Jon Lester is in Washington and Yu Darvish is in San Diego. But Kyle Hendricks is still at the top of rotation and Cubbies great Jake Arrieta should slot in right behind him. Will the projection of Zach Davies, Trevor Williams and Mr. No-No Alec Mills be enough to fill out the rotation and get the Cubs back to the postseason? The Cardinals got better adding Nolan Arenado for nothing. The Reds and Brewers aren't backing down. This is going to be an all-out brawl in the NL Central. Don't miss a single game with fuboTV.
