It’s a huge week in The Soccer Tournament with Day 2 action continuing on Thursday with a matchup between Wrexham vs. Desimpediso. The open-entry, seven-on-seven competition from the creators of The Basketball Tournament (TBT) began last year with a single 32-team bracket. This year’s expanded edition, which runs through Monday, features a 48-team men’s bracket and an eight-team women’s bracket, each of which has a $1M payout. Professional men’s clubs represented include Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, Wrexham, Burnley FC and North Carolina FC (USL). Entrants on the women’s side include Angel City (NWSL), North Carolina Courage (NWSL), Tampa Bay Sun (USL Super League) and a returning team of USWNT alumni.

Once Friday arrives, the men’s bracket will reach the early portion of the knockout stage, while the women’s group stage will begin.

Saturday sees the men reach the Round of 16 and then quarterfinals. Both the men and women will play the semifinals on Sunday, and the finals for both brackets will take place on Monday, where one men’s team and one women’s team will take home a $1 million grand prize.
