How to Watch Genoa vs. Lazio: Stream Serie A Live, TV Channel

Lazio is looking to keep its new lease of life running with a Serie A trip to Genoa

A much-needed burst in production has seen Lazio breathe new life into its chances of securing European soccer for next season ahead of Friday’s visit to Genoa to get this weekend’s Serie A action rolling. Three wins from their past five have left the Eagles enjoying life again somewhat under new manager Igor Tudor, though much of that fine work can all too suddenly be reduced to rubble if Genoa has anything to say about it. Alberto Gilardino’s men have suffered defeat just three times across their past 17 outings and are up to 12th in the standings, dreaming of a top-half finish if they can piece together a strong end to this season.

Genoa has turned a fresh leaf since the start of the New Year and finds itself on the brink of contending for European qualification, though it looks like this season will come too soon.

That being said, the Griffin has discovered its identity under Gilardino and proved one of Serie A’s toughest teams to beat in recent months, even for the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus, Napoli, Bologna and Fiorentina.

Tudor will be desperate to ensure Lazio isn’t added to that list, particularly after his side secured their biggest win of his reign to date when they hammered Salernitana 4-1 last time out:

It’s a slight concern that Lazio are still yet to win on the road under Tudor, with both of their defeats under his care coming away from home (albeit one in a derby defeat to Roma).

This will be the third time this term these teams have met, with the season’s scoreline perfectly poised at one win apiece.

Matteo Guendouzi scored the only goal of the game to knock Genoa out of the Coppa Italia when these clubs clashed in December, four months after Matteo Retegui’s goal separated the pair in Rome.

Regional restrictions may apply.
