Luis Enrique and Paris Saint-Germain face a golden opportunity to finally end the club’s wait for Champions League honors as they face the might of Inter Milan in Munich on Saturday. The race to be crowned the best team in Europe comes to a head at the Allianz Arena, marking the end of an arduous campaign that has seen a litany of European heavyweights fall by the wayside. Les Parisiens can also complete a historic treble in Germany this weekend after already adding the Ligue 1 title and the Coupe de France to their haul in recent weeks.

PSG contested its first Champions League final in 2020 when it came off second-best against Bayern Munich, but the team has made great leaps since then under Enrique’s guidance.

Inter, meanwhile, is desperate to avoid a trophy-less campaign after narrowly losing the Serie A title to Napoli and is now hoping to wrap up the European title for the fourth time:

Jose Mourinho was at the helm when the Nerazzurri were last crowned kings of the continent back in 2010, having lost to Manchester City in the 2023 decider.

Defenders Benjamin Pavard and Yann Bisseck will make late bids to be fit for the final, while Poland midfielder Piotr Zielinski could also shake off a niggle to be back in time.

The big news for the Nerazzurri is that star striker Lautaro Martinez will be available, though forward partner Marcus Thuram has been a key staple in the European campaign.

PSG, meanwhile, has only one fitness concern in center-back Presnel Kimpembe as he misses out, while Ousmane Dembele is also back to 100% after some recent injury concerns.

Regional restrictions may apply.
