Sweden hosts Estonia on Sunday in what will be the first home outing in its effort to dominate its UEFA Nations League group and move up a division in the European pecking order. Neither country was present at Euro 2024 over the summer, but both get back to business targeting some early initiatives in their respective efforts to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. Any country that fails to qualify directly for the next World Cup has a chance of earning a place in the play-offs by winning their Nations League group, adding a much grander incentive to do well in the biennial competition.

Sweden has in fact already beaten Estonia once this year, coming from behind to triumph 2-1 in a friendly clash this past January, the last fixture before Jon Dahl Tomasson was appointed as coach.
