The penultimate match of Group C4 play kicks off, as the Faroe Islands makes its first ever visit to Armenia on Thursday.
With three draws in its first four matches in Group play, the Faroe Islands look for its first win of this year’s competition on Thursday afternoon when it takes on Armenia in the reverse fixture of a 2-2 draw in Torshavn last month. Armenia won its opening game of this even, beating Latvia 4-1 at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium back in early September, but have gone winless in its last three matches, including mirroring 2-0 defeats at the hands of North Macedonia. Faroe Islands earned promotion from Group D in 2023, pulling points in four of its six matches and can position itself for another promotion with a win today and securing points against North Macedonia on Sunday.
