AEK Arena is set to host the exciting matchup between home side Cyprus and visiting nation Lithuania on Friday in UEFA Nations League action. The hosts head into the meeting as the third place team in Group 2 of League C, with just three points out of their first four matches of the campaign. Cyprus opened the first phase of the tournament with a visit to none other than Lithuania on Sep. 6 at ARVI Football Arena. The match was locked at 0-0 up until the 34th minute, when Ioannis Pittas found the back of the net to secure all three points for Cyprus away from home. Pittas was able to put away one of just two shots on target from the team throughout the whole match, which was enough to nab the win on matchday one.

On matchday two, Cyprus received a visit from Kosovo on Sep. 9 at AEK Arena. The team was dominated at home in a 4-0 finish in favor of the Kosovo national team, following goals from Vedat Muriqi (two), Albion Rrahmani and Lumbardh Dellova, all within the first 55 minutes of the match.

Then, Cyprus lost 3-0 against Romania on Oct. 12 at AEK Arena. Dennis man, Râzvan Marin and Radu Drâgusin all got on the scoresheet to secure all three points for the Romanians.

Finally, on matchday four, Cyprus again lost 3-0 to Kosovo, this time at Pristina City Stadium.

Meanwhile, Lithuania has lost all four of its matches so far in the UEFA Nations League group stage.
