Reigning 2022 FIFA World Cup runners-up France took on Israel at Stade de France, with the match ending in a scoreless finish. Meanwhile, England travelled to Athens Olympic Stadium to face the Greek national team. Gareth Southgate’s men took a 3-0 victory win over Greece thanks to goals from Ollie Watkins, Odysseas Vlachodimos (own goal) and Curtis Jones. It was the English national team’s fourth win in five matches to start the UEFA Nations League.

Finally, Portugal took a commanding 5-1 finish over Poland on Friday at Estadio do Dragão. Rafael Leão, Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Pedro Neto all found the back of the net for the Portuguese.
