Portugal and Spain will be each other’s first and last opponents in the six games of the group stage play.
The last time Spain played nationally was the World Cup Qualifiers group stage. The nation only lost one game, which was a 2-1 defeat against Sweden. In its most recent outing, it won 5-0 against Iceland.
In that game, Álvaro Morata scored twice, including a penalty kick, Yéremy Pino scored once, and Pablo Sarabia scored twice.
Portugal also won most of their World Cup Qualifiers and the club even beat North Macedonia in the qualifier final 2-0. In that game, Bruno Fernandes scored twice in the Estádio do Dragão.
Both of these teams hold mighty national relevance for their soccer teams. Cristiano Ronaldo never puts Portugal out of contention and Spain is riddled with stars. The key in this match will be the play of the goalkeepers and whoever defends the goal better wins against these prestigious attacks.
