France takes on England in UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifying.
Group A3 qualifying for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 continues on Tuesday when France plays host to England in a rematch of a game from May 31. In the previous meeting, France came away with a 2-1 victory. Élisa De Almeida and Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored goals for the winning side, while England’s lone goal came off the foot of Beth Mead. That win helped France extend its lead in the group, as it has nine points through its first three matches, putting it on track to qualify for the tournament. England, meanwhile, is tied in points with Sweden, though it is one goal back in goal differential and sits third. Only the top two teams in the group directly qualify for the Euro, with third place heading to the playoff.

England’s loss to France was its first loss of 2024. The team previously had two friendly wins over Austria and Italy, as well as a draw against Sweden and a win over Ireland in Euro 2025 qualifying.
France has won three in a row, all in Euro qualifying. Before that, the team lost to Spain in February in the UEFA Nations League final. That was the team’s first loss since last July, when it fell 1-0 in a friendly against Australia.
