Two years have passed since it was confirmed Switzerland would host the 14th edition of the UEFA Women’s Championship, but La Nati faces an uphill battle to make it out of Group A. These two teams are at quite opposite ends of the UEFA spectrum in terms of experience at the continental showcase, with Switzerland having only made its debut in the 2017 tournament.

By comparison, Norway is making its 13th appearance in the competition and won in its debut as host all the way back in 1987, having added one more title to its collection since then.

Yet despite that dearth in experience, Switzerland has managed to make major headway in this rivalry and has won two of its last six meetings with Norway, who has also earned two victories in that time.

The teams will square off at St. Jakob-Park, home of Swiss Super League outfit Basel, which is one of the venues offering nothing else if not stunning visuals during this contest.

Not only that, but Switzerland was rocked after reports surfaced that the team lost 7-1 to a Luzern under-15 boys side just days out from Euro 2025 getting underway.

Social media star and Juventus midfielder Alisha Lehmann brushed off the criticism coming their way after that news went public, however, saying “That’s no problem for us. We’ve prepared ourselves as best we can, both physically and tactically, and we’re ready to give it our all.”
