On Saturday, Liverpool and Real Madrid battle it out in Saint-Denis, France, for the UEFA Champions League title.
Thibaut Courtois sent out a warning ahead of Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool. In a press conference, the Belgian goalkeeper declared that: “when Real plays a final, they win it.” It’s important to remember that Courtois was on the wrong end of a Real victory when his Atlético Madrid side lost 4-1 in extra time to Los Blancos in the 2014 final.

That 2018 final against Liverpool was the third UCL title in a row for Real Madrid, the winningest club in the tournament’s history with 13 trophies.
Since the Champions League was redesigned in 1992, Real has won all seven finals appearances. Los Blancos have won as many UCL titles since the 1992 rebranding as the second-winningest club in the tournament’s history, AC Milan (seven titles).
