Week 12 action has the Colorado Summit traveling to take on the Salt Lake Shred at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah. The Shred comes into Friday’s game with a 9-1 record and is averaging 24.8 points scored per game while only allowing 18.6 points per game. The two teams faced each other on the Fourth of July with the Shred winning by a score of 24-18. In the win, Matt Russnogle had six goals for the Shred and Seth Faris also had six goals for the Summit. Tobias Brooks led all players with 71 pass completions. The performance by Russnogle landed him on the Week 11 honor roll as he boasted no turnovers in the win. The Shred are currently in first place with their 9-1 record and the Summit are not far behind, sitting in third place in the West with a 6-3 record.

The latest game for the Shred was played a 32-11 win over the Vegas Bighorns. McKay Yorganson also landed himself on the Week 11 Honor roll for his performance against the Summit as he had eight scores and over 700 total yards.

The Summit will be looking to bounce back from the loss to the Shred last week after 16 turnovers led to a tough loss. The team had a 95% completion rate in the loss, but the forced turnovers from a strong Shred defense made too big of an impact and the Summit failed to find an answer for it. The Summit will face the Vegas Bighorns following this match while the Shred will have the rest of the weekend off with their final match against the Minnesota Wind Chill taking place next week.
