Buffalo has won four of the last five MAC tournaments when they had never won one before 2015. Since there was no tournament last year, the Bulls have an opportunity to defend their title when they take on the Ohio Bobcats in the championship Saturday. Both arrived to the final game of the tournament in exciting fashion. While Buffalo wasn’t the top-seed, they sure looked the part. The No. 2 Bulls beat the Akron Zips in OT of the semifinals to advance.

What TV Channel is the MAC Championship on?

The MAC Tournament Championship between Buffalo and Ohio will be shown on CBS at 5:00 p.m. ET. You can live stream NCAA Basketball Games on fuboTV.

How to Watch Ohio Bobcats vs. Buffalo Bulls

Where: Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse – Cleveland, OH
Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
TV: ESPN

Those two played less than two weeks ago in a Bulls win that they almost squandered. The Zips nearly rallied back from 20 points only to lose by a bucket. Akron showed their resilience and was as even you could be with the Bulls in regulation in the semis. Overtime changed the story though when Buffalo came out strong and went on a 7-0 run and Akron couldn’t recover this time losing 81-74. The Bulls are getting hot at the right time. After a mediocre start they have won their last seven games and 10 of the last 11. They are the favorites to punch another ticket to the madness.

Standing in there way is the MAC’s version of Cinderella. The Bobcats made it a tough night for another Ohio team as they took down the No. 1 seed Toledo Rockets in the semis. The night before they beat fourth-ranked Kent State. The game against Toledo wasn’t even all that close as the Bobcats built an 18-point lead in the second half in a game where they were never trailing.  Even with the loss, Toledo was the regular season winner of the conference and therefore qualified for the NIT.

The Bobcats were able to get off to a great start against the Rockets because they shot 50 percent from the arc in the first half. Toledo may have been gassed from an overtime win against Ball State the day before. Buffalo is coming off a similar matchup and if they are fatigued and come out slow in the championship, this Ohio Cinderella will be dancing into the ball long past midnight.
