Liverpool took another crucial step toward the Premier League title and retained their 13-point cushion at the table summit after edging Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 at Anfield on Sunday.

Sadio Mane supplied the only goal on Merseyside as Jurgen Klopp’s men ground out another hard-fought victory, keeping them 13 points ahead of Leicester City.

It was also a statement win for the Reds—who still boast one game in hand—after defending champions Manchester City lost 3-2 away to Wolves on Friday, keeping them 14 points off the peak. Klopp’s men have now won their last 10 games in the league and are undefeated in 36 at Anfield.

Chelsea maintained their place in fourth, meanwhile, after Jorginho and Tammy Abraham scored twice in the dying minutes to complete a 2-1 comeback win away to Arsenal. That result keeps them four points ahead of Manchester United, who were 2-0 victors at Burnley in Week 20.

Arsenal’s latest loss leaves them 12th in the table and only six points above the bottom three, with Mikel Arteta still seeking his first win after three matches in charge of his old team. The Gunners have one win in their last 15 games across all competitions.

Watford continued their resurgence under Nigel Pearson and collected a second win in three games, hammering Aston Villa 3-0 at home on Saturday to move within three points of safety.

Norwich sit three points adrift at the bottom and were even saddened to draw 2-2 at home to Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur, having led twice in the match.
