Jared Jones picked up the win by going 6.0 innings with one earned run on four hits with seven strikeouts and two walked batters. Andrew McCutchen homered as the first batter of the game for Pittsburgh to open up the scoring. Rhys Hoskins followed with a homer of his own for the Brewers to tie the game back up. Ke’Bryan Hayes scored a run on an error in the sixth followed by an RBI single from Oneil Cruz to put Pittsburgh up 4-1 at the end of the sixth. Hoskins finished the scoring with an RBI in the top of the eighth.

He lost 9-1 against the New York Mets on the road going 5.0 innings allowing two of the nine earned runs on four hits with four strikeouts and one walk.
