D.C. takes on the Houston Roughnecks (3-5) on Sunday for the first and only time this season. Houston is looking to snap a two-game losing streak and play spoiler after already being eliminated from the playoffs. Both teams have found themselves in close games this season. D.C. has played in six games decided by one possession or less, while Houston has lost three of five games this season by just one possession.

With a win here, D.C. will be in a first place showdown with the St. Louis Battlehawks at home in the regular season finale. D.C. has already clinched a playoff berth this season regardless of how it finishes the final two games.

Jordan Taamu has led the offensive attack for D.C. this season. He leads the UFL in passing yards and touchdowns with 1,990 and 16, respectively. Taamu has added 171 yards on the ground and two more touchdowns with his legs.

Cornell Powell and Chris Rowland have taken the top off the defense, combining for eight touchdowns and 756 combined yards through the first eight games. This season no other receiving duo has 700 or more yards and eight touchdowns. They will put pressure on the Houston defense while giving Taamu more opportunities to build his resume for league MVP this season.
