Week 7 of the 2025 UFL season kicks off on Friday night, with the first-place DC Defenders facing the San Antonio Brahmas at the Alamodome.

With four weeks to go in the 2025 UFL season, nothing has been decided yet in the XFL Conference. Entering Week 7 the DC Defenders (4-2) hold first place thanks to a tiebreaker with the St. Louis Battlehawks, and the Arlington Renegades are right behind them at 3-3. As Week 7 begins on Friday night, the Defenders will try to hold onto their first place spot as they travel to the Alamodome to take on the fourth place XFL team, the San Antonio Brahmas (1-5).

DC is also trying to avoid its first losing streak of the year. Last week the Defenders were on the road at Ford Field, where they lost 38-14 to the Michigan Panthers. The 38 points were the most surrendered by the DC defense this season.

Meanwhile the Brahmas go for their second win of the year against the team they’ve already beat. The first matchup between the Defenders and Brahmas was back in Week 4 in Washington. San Antonio won that game 24-18 despite being out-gained on offense 409 yards to 219.

Quarterback Kellen Mond helped them overcome that with a very efficient performance. Mond completed 14 of his 20 passes for 121 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. Defensively linebacker Tavante Beckett led the way with two tackles, including two for a loss.
