After suffering their first loss of the year two weeks ago, the DC Defenders won a shootout last week on the road against the Arlington Renegades. Quarterback Jordan Ta’amu threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns, and added another on the ground in the 37-33 win.

With Ta’amu at the helm the Defenders are averaging 340 yards of offense per game, which leads the leagues. The Defenders also have the league’s best defense allowing just 236.6 yards per game.

The Panthers are right behind the Defenders ranking second in the league in both of those categories. They’re averaging 323.2 yards per game on offense, and allowing 244.2 yards per game on defense.

Michigan had won two games in a row but lost last week in another high scoring game. They fell 32-27 on the road against the St. Louis Battlehawks. Despite the loss Michigan put up 400 yards of total offense, with quarterback Bryce Perkins throwing for 235 yards and two touchdowns.
