The defending UFL champion Birmingham Stallions will face the Michigan Panthers in this game for the second year in a row.

The 2025 UFL regular season is in the books, and it’s now time to decide a champion. It’s a two week playoff, with conference final games this weekend following by the 2025 UFL Championship next weekend. The USFL Conference will be the first up of the two games on Sunday, and features a rematch of last year’s matchup with the Birmingham Stallions (7-3) hosting the Michigan Panthers (6-4) after those teams finished in first and second place respectively in that conference.

In last year’s meeting, the Birmingham Stallions won 31-18 to advance to the UFL Championship. They’d go on to win the league’s inaugural title – and their third spring league title in a row after winning the USFL during its two-year run in 2022 and 2023.

The two teams have met twice since during this past regular season. Birmingham won both games – taking a 21-12 game in Detroit back in Week 2, then taking down the Panthers at home 26-22 in Week 9 – just two weeks ago.

While those weren’t complete shootouts, there’s always a chance this game turns out to be high-scoring given these were the top two offenses in the league this year. Michigan paced the scoring at 24.5 points per game, with Birmingham just behind at 24.4 points per game.

The winner of this game will take on the winner of the XFL final, between the D.C. Defenders and St. Louis Battlehawks. That game will be played later on Sunday.
