Somebody is getting their first win of the 2025 UFL season on Saturday afternoon, when the Houston Roughnecks visit the Memphis Showboats.

Saturday’s UFL schedule features a standalone game, with the Houston Roughnecks (0-2) visiting the Memphis Showboats (0-2) at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium for an afternoon matchup. Both teams come in looking for their first win of the year in this USFL Conference showdown. Last year the Showboats swept the season series, with the two meetings coming the first and final games of the year. That included an 18-12 win in Houston, followed by a 19-12 win in Memphis.

Last week Memphis nearly picked up its first win. The Showboats lost 17-12 to the DC Defenders on the road, after losing to the Michigan Panthers in the season and home opener.

Wide receiver Jonathan Adams has been a bright spot for the Showboats despite their two losses to start the season. Through two weeks he’s the UFL’s leading receiver and a big play threat, with 15 catches for 221 yards and a touchdown.

Houston also came close to picking up its first win of the year last week. They were on the road facing the Arlington Renegades, and scored in the final minute of the game but failed a two-point conversion that would have forced overtime. Houston’s defense played well in that game, including recording nine tackles for a loss with three sacks and a turnover forced.

Kickoff for this one on Saturday is set for 2:30 p.m. ET. ESPN will have the coverage of the game.
