Rising to No. 16 in the national rankings, they lost by 24 points at home to Texas Tech, the No. 9-ranked team in the country. Utah got back on the winning side of the football, 48-14, against West Virginia on the road two weeks ago, before the team’s bye week last week. Dampier had four touchdowns and an interception on 21 completions for 237 yards.
