On Wednesday, the Wildcats will face-off against DePaul at Wintrust Arena. They are 12-10 overall this season heading into this week. They have also fallen under the .500 mark with a 5-6 record against teams in the conference. They are tied with Georgetown, Xavier, and Providence, while sitting three games behind No. 19 UConn. They are also five games behind conference-leading No. 12 St. John’s.

They closed out January last Friday with a loss on the road against former No. 10-ranked Marquette by just 13 points. In the 87-74 loss, Jordan Longino led the team with 27 points and a team-high seven assists. They opened up February over the weekend with a two-point loss at home to Creighton. Despite the loss, Wooga Poplar dropped 24 points and four rebounds to lead the team.

The DePaul Blue Demons are 11-12 overall this season, falling just under the .500 mark. After finishing on-conference play, they have been horrendous in Big East play. They are 2-10 against conference teams, sitting a half-game behind Butler, 3.5 games behind their opponent, and 8.5 games behind the conference leader.

Despite that, though, they come into this game with a little momentum after taking down Seton Hall in their last outing, 74-57. In the near 20-point win, NJ Benson led the team, dropping 17 points and pulling down 11 rebounds in the team’s only double-double while shooting 8-for-13 from the floor. CJ Gunn followed him with 16 points and seven rebounds in 32 minutes.
