    The top-seeded Atlanta Vibe take on the No. 4 seed Grand Rapids Rise in the Pro Volleyball Federation Championship semifinals on Wednesday night.

    The top four teams in the Pro Volleyball Federation converge on the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska, for the PVF Championship, with semifinal play set for Wednesday night. The No. 1 seed, the Atlanta Vibe (19-5), battle the fourth-seeded Grand Rapids Rise (12-12) in the first semifinal, looking to advance to Saturday’s $1 million, winner-take-all championship match. Atlanta closed the regular season with three straight victories, including sweeps of the Vegas Thrill on April 28 and the Columbus Fury on May 2. The Rise won its last two matches, closing with a five-set win over the Omaha Supernovas, the tournament’s No. 2 seed, on Sunday.

    The Vibe were the lone team in the PVF with two season-ending honorees, with Leah Edmond earning Outside Hitter of the Year honors and Morgan Hentz named Libero of the Year. Edmond finished second in the league with 381 kills and first with 438 points. Hentz placed second in the PVF with 373 digs. Magdaléna Jehlářová posted the second-highest kill percentage at .459.

    Emiliya Dimitrova of Grand Rapids received the Opposite Hitter of the Year award. She finished third in the league with 371 kills and 413 points. Ashley Evans led the PVF with 999 assists, Marin Grote placed third with 64 blocks and Claire Chaussee topped the circuit with 395 kills while recording the second-most points with 429.

    The Rise split four matches with Atlanta this season. Grand Rapids took a 3-1 win at Atlanta on Feb. 9 and beat the Rise 3-2 at home on Feb. 18. Atlanta struck back with 3-1 wins on the road on April 1 and at home on April 16. The winner advances to face the victor of the later semifinal between the No. 3 seeded San Diego Mojo and the host Supernovas.
