How to Watch Live Game 3: Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Clippers

The Utah Jazz couldn't have conducted business at home any better. They won both games and that was even without their key contributor Mike Conley. He has been ruled out of Game 3 with a lingering hamstring injury. He has been out since Game 5 of their first-round series against the Memphis Grizzlies. Conley earned his first All-Star selection this year averaging 16 ppg but the Jazz seem to be handling his absence just fine. Even so, the Los Angeles Clippers have to take advantage of that and their home court or this series will already be over.

Somehow, even with a new head coach in Tyronn Lue, the Clippers are still exhibiting woes in the second round. They've let Utah go on too many runs and while they had similar problems in the first round against the Mavericks, the Jazz are simply a better team. The margin of error has proven to be significantly less in this round. Utah is the number one seed in the West for a reason.

There was signs of hope in Game 2 though even in a loss. The Clips did show some resilience when they were down 13 at half. That boost of energy came from Reggie Jackson who scored nearly half of the team's points in the third quarter to get LA within striking distance. With Kawhi Leonard going through foul trouble, it was refreshing to see him get some more support in these playoffs. He will need a lot more of it if the Clippers are going to stay in this series.

Because like we mentioned earlier, the Jazz are just too good. The team made an insane 20 three-pointers, their best player Donovan Mitchell cannot be stopped scoring 37 and Jordan Clarkson scored 24 off the bench. There's no doubt why he won this year's Sixth Man of the Year award. He's come quite a long way playing for Lue in Cleveland even just a couple of years ago. The Jazz are still vulnerable without Conley but have shown the formula to make this a very short series.

These two should have met last year if the Nuggets didn't go on insane rally from a 3-1 deficit in the first round last year. This Jazz run is validation for how good this team has been for a long time. They're only the underdog in this game because they're going on the road but they have shown every indication that they are just as dominant as the Phoenix Suns and could easily go up 3-0 in this series. We shouldn't count our chickens yet, but that'd make a likely Western Conference Finals between Phoenix and Utah. For how much it benefits the league to have the big name franchises late in the playoffs, it's refreshing to see two starved fanbases getting to watch the dominant basketball they've longed for for so long.
