The Diamondbacks jumped out to a 3-0 lead by the end of the fifth inning with RBIs from Eugenio Suarez and Ketel Marte. St. Louis came storming back after that with Lars Nootbaar hitting a two-run RBI single in the sixth inning followed by a Paul Goldschmidt homer in the seventh inning to tie the game at 3-3. Nolan Gorman hit a walk-off 425-foot home run in the bottom of the ninth inning also scoring Goldschmidt to win the game. With two games left in the series, it is still anyone’s to win.

Jordan Montgomery will get the nod for Arizona tonight. The left-hander who was on the Texas Rangers last year is 1-0 this season with a 1.50 ERA in one start. He went 6.0 innings allowing one earned run on four hits with three strikeouts in just 78 pitches. His leash will be extended as he ramps up this season.

The former Baltimore Oriole, Kyle Gibson, is 1-2 this season with a 5.04 ERA and 14 strikeouts over 25.0 innings. He will get the start tonight for St. Louis. His last start ended in a 10th-inning loss 2-1 against the Milwaukee Brewers after going 6.0 innings allowing one earned run on three hits with three strikeouts.
