Who are the top players in the WNBA entering the 2025 season? Here’s Fubo’s top 10 ranking of the league’s stars.

The 2025 WNBA season showcases some of the most elite talent the league has ever seen. From rising stars to established legends, these ten players dominate the court with skill, leadership, and highlight-worthy performances. Whether it’s clutch shooting or lockdown defense, these athletes are redefining excellence in women’s basketball. Here’s a look at the top 10 WNBA players of 2025 who are making the biggest impact this season.

10. Jewell Loyd, Las Vegas Aces

Jewell Loyd has a change of scenery heading into the 2025 season after being traded to the former back-to-back WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces. Going into her 11th season, she spent the first 10 years with the Seattle Storm. The former All-Star averaged 19.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per game last season.

9. Jonquel Jones, New York Liberty

Jonquel Jones spent the first six years of her career on the Connecticut Sun before playing the last two years, including a championship, with the New York Liberty. Last season, she averaged 14.2 points, a team-high 9.0 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 3.2 assists per game. Despite All-Star caliber stats, she is the third-best player on her team.

8. Nneka Ogwumike, Seattle Storm

A 2016 MVP and WNBA champion, she’s a nine-time All-Star and ranks in the top 10 all-time in scoring. Renowned for her efficiency and defense, Ogwumike averaged 16.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. 7. Alyssa Thomas, Phoenix Mercury

A five-time All-Star, Alyssa Thomas holds the WNBA record for career triple-doubles (13) and set single-season records for assists (317) and double-doubles (28) in 2023. Despite chronic shoulder injuries that often kept her back from her true potential, her elite defense and playmaking define her dominance. Last season, she averaged 10.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 7.9 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.

6. Sabrina Ionescu, New York Liberty

The second-highest ranked player on the reigning champions, Sabrina Ionescu, comes in at No. 6. Surprisingly, there are enough points to go around with three players on this list. Last season, she averaged 18.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. This is her sixth year and has never averaged less than double digits in any career season.

5. Arike Ogunbowale, Dallas Wings

The seventh-year Dallas Wings star breaks into the top five on this list. She has a stalwart on her team, averaging 22.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. She is the complete package with the ability to burn you on offense and lock you down on defense.

4. Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever

There is no denying that Caitlin Clark is the most famous women’s basketball player at the moment. She was the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft last season and immediately made her team a playoff contender. In her rookie season out of Iowa, she averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game, destined to improve. Defensively, she also averaged 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks per game.

3. Napheesa Collier, Minnesota Lynx

The 2024 Defensive Player of the Year averaged 20.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game last season. Napheesa Collier brought the Minnesota Lynx to the runner-up position after losing in five games to the New York Liberty in the championship. She is the true meaning of “defense wins championships.”

2. Breanna Stewart, New York Liberty

As we get into the top two players in the WNBA, we start with the highest-ranked player on the 2024 WNBA championship team, the Liberty. Breanna Stewart has been a staple in the WNBA ranks for almost a decade. She came into the league averaging almost 20 points per game and is still doing it 10 years later. She averaged 20.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. She is the only player on the list averaging more than one steal and block per game thus far.

1. A’ja Wilson, Las Vegas Aces

The 2024 WNBA Kia MVP remains at the top of the list. A’ja Wilson was nothing short of ridiculously dominant on the court last season. She averaged 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 2.6 blocks per game. She led the Aces to back-to-back WNBA championships in 2022 and 2023. She will be looking to return to the top of the league in her eighth season in the WNBA.
