Both the Seattle Storm and Atlanta Dream look to rebound from losses in their previous games when they face off Sunday.
One of the best moments of Sue Bird’s last season came in the Storm’s last game against the Mercury. The outcome wasn’t what the Storm would have wanted as Phoenix won 94-78 but it was a special moment seeing Bird play against rival and friend Diana Taurasi. The Mercury and Taurasi honored Bird before the game in a special ceremony fitting for the legend.

The Mercury were dominant in that game as Skylar Diggins-Smith led the way scoring a career-high 35 points. Taurasi was awesome as well, scoring 28 points while the team held Bird to just two. Breanna Stewart was a bright spot, leading the Storm with 22 points. The Storm are still second in the Western Conference and only two-and-a-half games back of Las Vegas for the top spot as they head into this game against Atlanta.
The Dream are coming off a 85-78 loss against the Los Angeles Sparks. The Ogwumike sisters led the charge for LA with Nneka Ogwumike scoring a team-high 20 points. They’ll look for a statement victory today on their quest to get back to .500.
