The Sky have already punched their playoff ticket as they head to New York to take on the Liberty tonight.
The Sky (21-6) are the defending WNBA champions and are the first team to clinch a playoff berth this season. On Saturday, they head to Brooklyn to take on the Liberty (9-17), who are locked in a six-team battle for the last three spots in the bracket.

Chicago and New York are streaking in opposite directions. The Sky have won six straight to open a two-game lead over Las Vegas for the WNBA’s best record. Conversely, the Liberty have dropped five in a row and are two games behind the Mercury for the eighth and final postseason spot with 10 games left on their schedule.
On Friday, Chicago beat visiting Dallas 89-83 before heading to New York. Kahleah Copper scored 19 points while Candace Parker dropped 14 points with 10 rebounds, moving into a fourth-place tie with Tamika Catchings on the WNBA’s all-time rebounding list with 3,316.
New York lost at Washington on Thursday 78-69 despite Natasha Howard’s 17 points and 10 rebounds.
The Sky have been without All-Star point guard Courtney Vandersloot for the last three games and she is listed as questionable for Saturday night with a concussion. The Liberty don’t expect All-Star wing Betnijah Laney, back until early next month and she’s been out with a knee injury since late May.
Chicago is 2-0 against New York this season, most recently an 88-86 win in Brooklyn on June 12.
