Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings look to make a postseason run in the 2025 WNBA season. Here’s how to watch the action.

As the 2025 WNBA season tips off, the Dallas Wings are one of the most highly anticipated teams in the league. The past few seasons have been of the rebuilding variety, but the ultimate prize was given to Dallas when it landed the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. It was no surprise that the Wings selected Paige Bueckers, a potentially franchise-altering talent who spent her collegiate career at UConn.

While this roster doesn’t have championship expectations this season, the Wings should be much better than in years past. The roster is being built tactfully and the future is bright in Dallas. Here’s a closer look at what to expect from the Dallas Wings this season.

How to Watch Team Dallas Wings All Season Long

Given the attention Bueckers will get and the popularity and following she has across the globe, it’s no surprise that Dallas has quite a few nationally televised games this season. The Wings are set to open the regular season against the Minnesota Lynx on Friday, May 16 at home. Not only will this be the WNBA debut for Bueckers, but it will also be the first time that several new faces in Dallas make their regular season debuts in a Wings uniform. Over the course of the season, the Wings will play on NBA TV, ESPN, ABC, CBS and ION, all of which can be caught live with a Fubo subscription.

Dallas Wings 2024 Season Recap

The Wings started the 2024 season fairly strong, but ultimately finished 11th out of 12 teams in the WNBA with a 9-31 record. It was a season of losing streaks, as Dallas suffered an 11-game and a 9-game skid at different points. That’s tough to overcome in a 40-game season for any team. Injuries played a factor in the struggles for the Wings last season, but overall, they just weren’t the most talented team.

Arike Ogunbowale was Dallas’ best player last season on the offensive end, showcasing dynamic scoring every night that she was on the floor. It was clear she needed a sidekick in the backcourt to take pressure away, but Ogunbowale was still phenomenal. Following the poor season, the Wings parted ways with head coach Latricia Trammell and also began a search for a new GM, signaling a new era of basketball in Dallas.

Dallas Wings 2025 Season Outlook/Stories To Watch

Bueckers will be the clear top storyline for the 2025 season, as she’s expected to emerge as one of the faces of the WNBA in the next few years. But overall, there’s much more to watch for in Dallas.

For starters, the Wings will have a brand new coach, as Chris Koclanes will take the helm for his first season with the franchise. Furthermore, a good portion of the roster looks different due to all of the activity that Dallas had in the offseason. As such, the outlook for the season is somewhat unclear, given that many of these pieces will take time to mesh.

But overall, the Wings will be a better team than last season by default. There’s more talent on this roster and the moves made leading up to this season indicate that Dallas wants to be more competitive.
